Green Smoothie – How to make one? The quickest and healthiest meal.

Green smoothie is one of the healthiest breakfast you can have as your first meal of the day.

Here I am sharing with you recipe of a green smoothie that I love.  It is the right seasonal to try this green smoothie. But at the end I will also share how to make other green smoothies.

Making green smoothies just too easy. Its one of the quickest thing you can make when in hurry. Thankfully, its very very tasty too.

I was always told by various nutritionist and dieticians that having greens in day is very helpful to gain rich nutrients and proteins. It also helps in a smooth excretion if consumed with fibre.

I never liked having only greens. Though I am learning to like that too, slowly.

Palak Mango Green Smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • Hand full of palak/ spinach leaves
  • One or one and half mango depending on how much smoothie you want and how big the mango is
  • 2-3 soft dates
  • Ice
  • Water to blend

Method 1:

High speed blender 900 Watts or above / Nutribullet

If you have this blender then you need to simply add everything together and just give a good blend and have immediately.

Method 2:

A normal blender

If you don’t have a high speed blender then you first add Palak and dates and very little amount of water and make like a chutney, once the greens are blended add mango ice and water and blend until smooth.

The method to make the green smoothie remains the same for all. The ingredients of the green smoothie may vary with season.

  • Palak
  • Corriander
  • Mint
  • Kale
  • Lal or Green Maath
  • Italian Basil
  • Tulsi Leaves

Pick Two:

  • Mango
  • Banana
  • Chickoo
  • Strawberry
  • Pineapple
  • Anjir
  • Kiwi
  • Grapes
  • Apple
  • Papaya

Pick One:

  • Raisins
  • Dates
  • Anjir
  • Dry dates powder

Follow the method shared above and your healthy green smoothie is ready.

Please note this is a complete meal itself and don’t try to have it as a side drink. You can have cut fruits with this.

Its best to have green smoothies on an empty stomach of after giving a gap of three to four hours after any meal.

After having Green smoothies avoid having any grainy meal for two hours.

Don’t mix green smoothies with veggies.

I normally have green smoothies with a steel straw and it helps my saliva to feel the taste of it instead of just gulping it all from the glass.
